Color
I've been thinking about how to color comics a lot lately because I want to get away from computer color and try something more tactile like colored pencil or water color. That said, I want to keep the general palette and approach to color that I've developed on the computer. When I was figuring out how to color Watergate Sue, my husband showed me some comics by Fumiko Takano - a strip called Miss Ruki
I love how simple it is and how she leaves a lot uncolored. Her work kind of gave me "permission" to only color the parts of the panels I was interested in coloring. You can see her influence in Watergate Sue.
